Föreningen För Objektivismen (FFO)

Our goal is to increase the awareness and knowledge of Ayn Rand and her philosophy of Objectivism among people in general. In particular we focus on individuals with a serious interest in Objectivism and try to make it possible for them to achieve a better and deeper understanding of the philosophy.

To realize our goal we participated each year 1990-96 &1999 in a big book fair in Gothenburg (Göteborg). We arranged study circles on important works like Introduction to Objectivist Epistemology and Objectivism: the Philosophy of Ayn Rand. We also coordinated other activities like watching videos, listening to taped lectures by prominent Objectivists and radio shows via Internet, dinners, and other social activities. We also published a magazine called Lyceum with a wealth of information and articles in both Swedish and English.

We support The Ayn Rand Institute, but are not their spokesmen.

We have a Swedish language list that you could join:
lyceum2@yahoogroups.com – the Swedish Objectivist mailing-list. This list is dedicated to discussions on Objectivism and announcements of Objectivist related activities in Sweden.

Lyceum was edited by Jerry Nilson (). Additional staff members included: Martin Lindeskog and Ola Qvarnström.

Index of what we published 1994-2000.

One free issue is available here: Lyceum vol. 3 #2 (pdf).

There are two articles in the Swedish language that you now can read here – Riksbanken är Problemet by Jerry Nilson and Martin Lindeskog and EU--Altruism, Kollektivism & Konflikter by Jerry Nilson.
